About the Photographer
Hey, y’all! I am so glad you’re here!
I’m Taelor. I am a lifestyle and event photographer based out of Celina, TX and serving all of the DFW metroplex. I absolutely love everything that this area has to offer from the vibrant city lights to golden hour glows; the modern architecture to the historic landmarks to the hundreds of beautiful, local farms; and the hustle and bustle of the cities all the way out to the Wide Open Spaces (queue the 1998 Dixie Chicks hit!)
My style is to capture the natural elements and authentic emotions of a precise moment for you to remember and cherish over a lifetime. I incorporating light, color, and energy into the frame in a way that compliments YOU as the star of your show. Confession time - my favorite shoots are families and anything involving children aged from newborn all the way up to high school seniors. As a mother myself, I’m constantly reminded of how quickly time passes by. I find something so incredibly soul-charging in momentarily “freezing” time, capturing every tiny detail of this precious phase of your life, creating meaningful heirloom photographs to love forever.
Beyond the Business
I am a mama. I have two spectacular little girls who make my entire world go ‘round & a spunky 4-lb. yorkie pup who keeps us all on our toes. Berkeley is ten & Ellis is five - two very different phases of childhood that make for the most perfect combination of chaos, whimsy, and beautiful innocence. If you’re picturing pink, makeup, bows, shoes, and lots and lots of glitter, you’ve got us pretty well figured out! Together, we love to travel, get outdoors, do puzzles, craft, cook, bake, go to our local pool, have movie nights, go on dinner dates, and play lawn and board games (corn hole is a go-to and “Yahtzee!” can often be heard echoing through our halls on rainy days.) Both of my girls are avid cheerleaders for a local gym and for our Celina Bobcats, which makes me a very high-spirited Cheer Mom!
One of our favorite outings as a family is to our Church which we are beyond blessed to attend with both my own mom & my grandma (Four generations sitting front row for the sermon. How special is that?!) My proudest moments as a parent come from watching my girls confidently walk around the Church greeting and mingling with other followers of Christ while their sweet little voices belt out worship tunes. Their faithful hearts are evident through their love to serve, their compassion for others, and their unwavering love for the Lord.
It is my love for Christ and these girls that inspire me, both spiritually and creatively, to do what I do and guide me behind the lens and beyond.
Why “EightTwo?”
Before crafting my hobby into a full-time adventure, I worked in the corporate world as a Catastrophe Adjuster for homeowners insurance claims. After about 5 years of working with people through, arguably, one of their greatest tragedies, - tornadoes, hurricanes, “snowmagedden,” wildfires - I was longing to make a bigger, more beautiful impact on the lives of others. I was at a bit of a crossroads.
“At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand.” Proverbs 8:2
This was the verse that changed it all for me, my inspiration to take MY stand. I left behind what was familiar and threw myself into learning as much as I could as fast as I could about starting a business. I watched hours upon hours of videos, read dozens of books and articles, and sought inspiration from some of those closest to me who I admire that share similar values and a passion for serving others.
“Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character,” Deuteronomy 8:2
Stepping out of the wilderness, I set forth on my mission to deliver timeless, sentimental images that tell your story for generations to come humbly led by my passion for creativity, design, and desire to serve.
And, that is how EightTwo was born.
